Clear cell odontogenic carcinoma in the posterior mandibular region: a case report and literature review

Abstract: Clear cell odontogenic carcinoma(CCOC) is a rare odontogenic epithelial carcinoma, which is difficult to be accurately diagnosed by clinical and imaging manifestations before surgery. Simple resection may result in recurrence, cervical lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis and even death. This paper reported the diagnosis and treatment of a patient with clear cell odontogenic carcinoma in the posterior dental region of the mandible and the disease was discussed based on literature.
