Abstract: Lymphoma is a heterogeneous group of malignant tumors of lymphoid cells that can affect lymphoid tissue, bone marrow, or lymph nodes. Giant lymphomas occurring in the base of the tongue are often misdiagnosed as benign tumors or infectious diseases due to their rarity and diverse clinical manifestations. This article reported a case of a giant mass at the base of the tongue in a 27-year-old male, which was pathologically confirmed as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. By reviewing relevant literature, we analyzed its clinical-pathological characteristics, diagnostic and therapeutic considerations, aiming to provide reference for clinical practice.
