Abstract: Temporomandibular joint chondrosarcoma is clinically rare, and its diagnosis and surgical management become significantly more challenging when the tumor invades the skull base. This article reported a case of highly differentiated temporomandibular joint chondrosarcoma involving and destroying the middle cranial fossa. The complete resection of the skull base tumor in the temporal fossa was performed under computer-assisted surgical navigation, combined with mandibular condylectomy. Key diagnostic and therapeutic principles are summarized based on imaging findings, intraoperative observations, and pathological immunohistochemical results, with a review of relevant domestic and international literature, providing reference for the clinical management of this rare lesion.
