A Brief Introduction to China Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
China Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (CJOMS)(ISSN 1672-3244), founded in November 2002, is an official journal of Chinese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, being designed to present the latest basic scientific and clinical findings of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in China. It is published bimonthly from 2006 by Editorial Board of China Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The journal includes editorial, original clinical articles, basic scientific research papers, review articles, clinical reports, technical renovation, short communications, current literatures, comments, as well as news and notes.
CJOMS focuses on clinical and basic scientific researches. Most of the articles published are reports of original research (both experimental and clinical) and critical reviews. The authors are from scientific research organizations or universities. These articles are of high quality, with adequate copyrights, contents and abstracts in English.
Each of the articles is peer-reviewed by two or three external peer reviewers. Each published article is strictly selected, and only 20% articles are finally accepted for publication. Most of the corresponding authors of the published articles have Doctorate degree or Master degree, and professor’s title or associate professor’s title. Many articles are supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and other provincial scientific foundations.
CJOMS has been cited in Chemical Abstracts (CA) since its publication and in all the biomedical index systems in China, e.g., Chinese Medical Current Contents (CMCC), Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database (CAJCED), Chinese Journal Full-text Database (CJFD), Wanfang Data Digital Periodical, Chinese Scientific & Technical Periodicals Database, and included in EBSCO from 2007. It has become the most important journals on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in China.
CJOMS is published in Chinese language with abstracts in English for all articles, with 88 pages in A4 (21cm×29.7cm) papers. It is colorfully printed on acid-free papers and distributed worldwide. CJOMS welcomes submission (manuscript in Chinese or English) on all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, both experimental and clinical, from doctors, researchers, health workers regardless of their medical specialty or type of employment, in any part of the world.
